If you were enjoying a day at the beach this summer, you might have come across The Plastic Police Squad. Kitted with high visibility bibs, gloves, and garbage pickers, the squad visited ten beaches with the main intention to educate people about the harmful effects single-use plastic has on the environment. Apart from raising awareness, the Plastic Police Squad also provided alternatives to disposable plastic items.
Our teams at the QLZH Group have participated regularly in beach clean ups. In 2018 we launched a series of Ocean Bead Clean-ups.
During Christmas week, we surprised hospitalised children and donated over 80 gifts making their wish come true.
In the month of November, we hosted a fund raising event called Show Me Your Moustache in the form of a competition in aid for Malta Male Cancer Awareness.
In July 2017, whilst visiting Ghana, we supplied internet connectivity to a community school. We also donated 200 books to a nearby school to be used by hundreds of children over the coming years.
We planted 800 indigenous trees in Malta in collaboration with the Pembroke Local Council and ELC. This is more than our goal to plant a tree for every house we sell through Zanzi Homes
