Sip & Swap 4: The Market Edition Was Our Biggest Yet
On Saturday 26th September, Vincent's Eco Farm came alive for the fourth edition of Sip & Swap, the QLZH Foundation's community event built around a simple idea: swap pre-loved, shop local and give back. This year we introduced our first-ever Market Edition, and the community turned out in force.
From the moment the gates opened at 2pm, the farm filled with people. 100 guests joined us over the course of the afternoon and evening, and the atmosphere stayed vibrant until the very end.
A Swap With a Difference
The swap remained the heart of the event. In the weeks leading up to the day, supporters dropped off their clothes at our Cali House office in San Ġwann and received digital tokens in return. On the day, those tokens were exchanged for new-to-you pieces from our curated rack.
The result was a sustainable, joyful exchange in which clothes found a second life and everyone left with something they loved.
Local Talent on Show
Our 15 local vendors turned the farm into a thriving market. Handmade products, jewellery, food trucks and Dr Juice gave visitors plenty to explore, taste and enjoy. We are grateful to every vendor who joined us and supported the cause through their participation.
A Day for the Whole Family
Sip & Swap was designed to welcome all ages. Children enjoyed a bouncy castle and face painting, while adults relaxed to a live DJ set in the open-air setting of Vincent's Eco Farm. Many families and groups of friends made a full afternoon of it.
Giving Back
Every swap, sale and vendor contribution goes towards the work of the QLZH Foundation. This includes supporting children and education projects in Ghana, providing filtered drinking water, organising ocean bed clean-ups across Malta, and contributing to causes such as the MSPCA and the Oncology Ward.
Thank You
Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who donated clothes, attended, shopped, performed, volunteered and helped spread the word. Thank you also to our partners, Dr Juice and Vincent's Eco Farm, for helping bring this edition to life.
We are already looking forward to what comes next. Follow the QLZH Foundation on social media to be the first to hear about our upcoming events.
